REHABILITATION OF SELECTED ROADS IN LILONGWE, ZOMBA
AND BLANTYRE CITIES

Invitation to Tender

1. Tenders are invited from Civil Engineering contractors registered with the National Construction Industry Council (NCIC) of Malawi in the unlimited category, and have renewed their membership for the 2008 to 2009 financial year for the Rehabilitation of Selected Roads in cities of Lilongwe, Zomba and Blantyre as listed below.

The expected duration for each contract is 18months.

2. Tendering documents may be obtained from the addresses below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of K 5,000.00 starting from 27th February 2009 as follows.

3. The final date and time for submission of tenders is 26th March 2009 at 10.00 hours at the address given in (2) above. Thereafter bids will be opened in the presence of the bidder’s representatives who choose to attend at the addresses given in (2) above. Late tenders will be rejected.
           
4. There will be no official site inspection. However, all tenderers are advised to inspect all the roads for the contract they intend to tender before submitting their tender.

5. The Roads Authority is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender and will not be obliged to give any explanation what soever.  

6. Requests for clarification of bidding documents or general questions must be sent to the addresses in (2) above at least 14 days before the tender closing date. Only written questions will be answered in writing.

UPGRADING OF BUNDA – MITUNDU ROAD IN LILONGWE

Invitation to Tender

1. Tenders are invited from Civil Engineering contractors registered with the National Construction Industry Council (NCIC) of Malawi in the unlimited category, and have renewed their membership for the 2008 to 2009 financial year for the Upgrading of Bunda – Mitundu Road in Lilongwe.

2. Tendering documents may be obtained from the addresses below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of K10, 000.00 starting from 27th February 2009.

4. A mandatory official site inspection will take place on 12th March 2009 at 9:00am. The starting point is the junction to Bunda College of Agriculture.
